The first thing to do is line up the power steering pump pulley at the end of the shaft on the pump. Put Mount Installer or Special Tool C-4063 in the pump shaft's threaded holes, facing it against the power steering pump pulley, inside the engine. Have the pulley and installer stay next to the pump shaft as you turn the installer's outer nut, pushing the pulley on the shaft until it is even with its end and you cannot move the outer nut farther. Once done, take out the installer from the power steering pump and mount the pump back onto the engine.

  The first step is to unhook the Battery Cable from the negative post before taking out the power steering pump. Empty the power steering fluid reservoir as completely as you can. Following this step, remove the power steering pump drive belt from the pump pulley. Use a wrench to undo the hose clamp on the return hose where it meets the reservoir. After that, simply slide the return hose off the attachment. Separate the power steering fluid pressure hose from the pump by first unscrewing the tube nut and pulling on the hose. Pull out the through-bolts at 12 and 6 O'clock, making sure you keep the flag nut; the lower nut stays with the bracket and has a cage around it. Ease off the two bolts that hold the stamped support bracket in place on the engine block. After that, loosen and completely remove the remaining bolt located at the 9 o'clock position holding the pump to the cast bracket using the two holes in the pulley.
