If the car is equipped with a transmission, put the catalytic converter assembly into the mount after aligning the front
Exhaust Pipe with the mount on the transmission. Add the nuts to the front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter assembly before you attach them to the muffler flange and leave them loose. Make certain that the exhaust pipe is at least 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) away from the bottom of the vehicle and its frame. At the
Exhaust Manifold, tighten the bolt to 27 Nm (19 in. lbs.) torque and next tighten the front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter assembly to muffler flange nuts to 27 Nm (19 ft. lbs.) torque. Attach the end of the front pipe to the exhaust manifold's connection and tighten the clamp so it measures 10 Nm (95 in. lbs.) torque. Slide in the
Oxygen Sensor's electrical connectors, raise the vehicle, turn it on and check for leaks in the exhaust, fixing them as needed. Also, inspect the positioning of the exhaust versus the rest of the car's bodywork and move it if contact is found.
