  Before installing the EGR valve, make sure to wipe the gasket region at the back of the left cylinder head that fits around the valve. After that, degrease the EGR tube wherever it meets with your EGR valve. Apply a new gasket to where the EGR valve will attach to the cylinder head, put the valve in place and hold it with two bolts that you should tighten to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.). Install a new gasket between the EGR tube flange and the EGR valve assembly, then connect the EGR tube to the side of the EGR valve by placing the tube's end into the Intake Manifold. Hold the pipe in place by tightening two bolts to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.). Link the electrical connector to the EGR valve solenoid at the top and fasten the negative Battery Cable again. After that, hook up your diagnostic scan tool and clear any DTC's that are currently stored.

  Before removing the electronic EGR valve and solenoid assembly, scan the vehicle for DTCs and disconnect the Battery Cable. The EGR valve is attached to the Intake Manifold using the exhaust gas routing tube, so begin by taking out the tube's two bolts. After that, pull the tube free from the solenoid and feed the open end into the intake manifold. Take out the gasket next to the EGR valve solenoid and tube flange and afterward, unplug the solenoid's electrical connector. Following that, take out the bolts holding the EGR valve solenoid in the engine and pull the solenoid out. In the end, take out the gasket beneath the EGR solenoid.
