By hand, put sensor nut 3 into place with pressed-in washer 3 while gently driving sensor housing 2 downward until it matches the inner shape of wheel 1. Once aligned, tighten the sensor nut to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.). Tighten the sensor nut just enough since over-tightening it slightly at 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.) could separate the sensor from the valve stem. On rotating wheel tire changers, position the sensor valve stem 2 inches or about 280 mm away from the changer head and on rotating tool tire changers, place the sensor 210° clockwise from the tool head prior to the bead breaker. Make sure to follow the tire pressure written on the Tire Inflation Pressure Label and make sure the original style valve stem cap is properly in place. Place the tire and wheel on the vehicle, take away the support and bring the car down to the ground. The new sensor ID will be learned only if you either sync it with the TPM-RKE Analyzer, 9936 or drive the car for 10 minutes without stopping, maintaining 15 mph or above.
