You need to disable and uninstall the driver's side
Air Bag to service the steering wheel. Leave the steering wheel bolt attached to the column as you insert puller CJ98-1 or something similar from the top onto the bolt head. First, unscrew the steering wheel bolt and then take out the steering wheel from your car. Installation requires replacing the old steering wheel bolt with a new one, because it can't be reused. Be certain that the bolt attaching the steering wheel is tightened to meet the proper torque required for
Clock Spring operation. Afterward, use a torque wrench to tighten the steering wheel bolt to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.) before you put in the driver's side air bag.
