Before doing anything else, separate the battery negative cable from its holder. After that, go under the passenger side of the instrument panel, close to the right cowl side inner panel and release the cable from the bottom clip on the heater-A/C housing. Cut away the foam tape from the connector, pull apart the cable connectors while twisting, but do not pull the cable itself. Make sure you secure a suitable length of cord or twine to the
Antenna half of the coaxial cable connector for use during setup. After that, go to the right side of the dash panel in the engine compartment, pop the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) aside to access the antenna cable grommet and pull the antenna coaxial cable out of the passenger compartment, this time through the dash panel hole. Lift up the sleeve of the antenna mast to reach and unscrew it from the antenna body on the vehicle. To remove the antenna nut, use the right-sized antenna nut wire (Special Tool C-4816) and when done, take out the antenna adapter from the
Fender's top and lower the cable and body assembly into the fender. Take the antenna and its cable out between the right cowl side outer panel and the fender and thread the outer antenna cable towards the outside through the hole in the cowl reinforcement. After removing the cord or twine from the antenna, put all the video cables through the car and pull the antenna body and cable out of the vehicle. To install, link the end of the cord or twine to the connector of the antenna being fed into the instrument panel, then use the cord or twine to fish the whole antenna cable through the opening in the radio receiver from underneath the panel. Fix the radio receiver to the instrument panel, slide your hand into the
Glove Box opening to attachment the antenna cable to the clips at the back of the instrument panel and insert the glove box onto the instrument panel. After taking the cord or twine from the instrument panel antenna cable, reach under the dashboard on the passenger side and inside the right cowl side inner panel to join the other halves of the radio antenna's coaxial cable. Afterward, wrap the connection with a piece of foam tape. Turn the coaxial cable connect to the retainer clip positioned underneath the heater-A/C housing and attach the negative cable on the battery.
