To start servicing the pilot bearing, you should take out the transmission, transfer case if it's there and clutch housing. After that, remove the pressure plate and disc. Take away the pilot bearing using the right-sized blind hole puller. When installing your bearing, first clean the bore with solvent and dry it with a shop towel. Place the new bearing with the help of a clutch alignment tool so that it stands straight and taps it into the bearing bore near the edge, without making it sink in. Once you're done, put back in the clutch cover, disc, clutch housing and the transfer case, if it is one of the parts.
