For flywheel servicing or repair, first you need to remove the transmission. Stand next to the car and loosen each bolt about a thread and in a diagonal pattern so the disc won't get warped. After that, unbolt the flywheel and remove it; in Dual Mass Flywheel cars, an adapter plate is between the flywheel and crank, so it isn't necessary to unbolt that. Attach the flywheel to the
Crankshaft or adapter plate if used, add the bolts and secure them to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) on all vehicles, except models with a Dual Mass Flywheel where the bolts should be tightened to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbs.), on the adapter plate. After pressing the buttons, attach the clutch and the transmission.
