How to Remove and Install the Ignition Lock Assembly on Dodge Ram 3500?

First, put the ignition key into the ignition cylinder before trying to remove it. First, take off the negative terminal from the battery and then remove both of the steering column covers. Put the shifter into the PARK setting. The ignition switch underside has a retaining pin for the key cylinder; with the key in RUN turn the key down, push in the bar and remove the key cylinder. For installation, put the key into the key cylinder and bring the key cylinder so it is aligned with the switch. Insert the key cylinder to the end and make sure it clicks; then, attach the upper and lower shrouds and charge your battery.
