Before starting the installation, take out the negative clamp on the battery to stop the
Air Bag from deploying. Take the multi-function switch, set its pins into the multi-function switch housing from the left and push the switch into place. Screw in two screws that secure the switch to the mounting housing at 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.), then attach the wire harness connector to the back of the switch housing. Cover the lower shroud over the steering column and put in and tighten a center screw from below to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Roll the upper part over the lower part, making sure the automatve transmission's gap hider is engaged, next snap them into each other and apply pressure by hand to secure them. Secure the upper shroud to the lower shroud by screwing in two outboard screws to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). After fitting the knob into the tilt adjuster actuator, tighten it to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Index the rubber boot between the two faloons on the armature attachment by fitting it over the rotor's yellow engagement dowel as you reinstall the
Steering Wheel. Put the steering wheel in place, attach the steering wheel wire harness to the upper Clock Spring connector receptacles, correcting its routing and add the driver air bag to the steering wheel. Then, connect the negative cable of the battery again.
