How to Install a Tie Rod on Dodge Ram 3500?

The tie rod end is attached to the left steering knuckle and drag link with nuts tightened to 54Nm (40ft.lbs) plus an additional 90° of turn after which it is installed (Figure 133). After removing the supports, lower the vehicle on the surface, centre the steering wheel and adjust the toe. Once the adjustment has been made, the tie rod adjustment sleeve clamp bolts should be tightened to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). Make sure that the clamp is positioned onto the sleeve with the retaining bolt on the bottom side.
