Before handling the Occupant Restraint Controller, open the deck, remove the four bolts fastening the battery compartment cover and then take off the cover. Shut off the battery negative cable, giving the system two minutes to protect against possible injury during the replacement process. After that, take out the center console and the center bezel. Take a trim stick or some comparable tool and very carefully lift the cluster bezel. After that, remove the radio and its electric wires. Afterward, disconnect the two wires attached to the Occupant Restraint Controller and, from inside the center stack area, remove the three screws that hold it in place at the floor tunnel.
