How to Service and Repair a Center Link on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Take the vehicle to a height and secure it, then unlatch the right wheel and tire from the hub. Then, get rid of the cotter pin and nut at the right steering knuckle and pitman arm and use Puller C-3894-A to take the drag link off from both areas. Loose the bolts at the bottom of the adjustment sleeve and take out the tie rod ends from inside the sleeve. Put the tie rod ends back into the adjustment sleeve, screw them in and then install the drag link on the right steering knuckle and pitman arm. Turn the nut at the steering knuckle to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.) and the pitman nut to 88 Nm (65 ft. lbs.), putting on new cotter pins as well. Adjust the clamp bolts into their initial position and tighten them to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.), followed by putting back the right wheel and its tire assembly. After that, lower the vehicle while making sure the steering wheel is at the center.
