For 2.4L engines, tighten the bolts to a torque of 31 Nm and 50 Nm for 3.7L engines. After lubricating the threads with clean oil, tighten the pressure plate bolts evenly in a rotational pattern a few threads at a time to the specified torque of 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). This will prevent distortion of the pressure plate.
