First, to safe guard against accidental air bag deployment, stop the SRS by isolating the battery negative terminal and waiting two minutes for everything to discharge. Begin by taking off the upper and lower shrouds around the steering column first. Next, take out the connector pin from the left multi-function switch's backside connector receptacle so you can unplug the instrument panel wire harness. Disconnect the screw holding the left multi-function switch to the left side of the
Clock Spring mounting bracket. Across from the Clock Spring, slide the switch to the opposite position and lift the switch tabs out of the channel grooves on the mounting bracket. Very carefully loosen the jumpers from the connectors on the left-side multi-function switch and then take the switch out of the Clock Spring.
