How to service the Daytime Running Light Relay on Jeep Liberty?

To service daytime running lamp relay, first disable supplemental restraint system. This is done to prevent air bag deployment during service. Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable. Wait two minutes for system capacitor to discharge. The DRL relay is located in the Junction Block at the driver side outboard end of the instrument panel. Ensure no headlamp high beam relay is installed in the Junction Block on vehicles with DRL relay. Moreover, in spite of having similar terminal arrangement, do not use a standard ISO relay for the DRL relay. Start the removal process by disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable. Remove the trim from the driver side end of the instrument panel. At last, firmly grasp relay Daytime Running Lamp and pull it straight out from the Junction Block receptacle.
