Remove the motor only after pulling out enough to reach the wire harness connector and taking it off the liftgate power lock motor pigtail wire connector. First, place the new power lock motor over the access hole in the inside of the liftgate and then link the wire harness back to it. Put the motor into position through the HVAC access hole, attach it using screws tightened to 3 Nm (28 in.lbs.), put the link back on the motor, fit the liftgate trim panel, close the liftgate door and finally reconnect the battery negative cable.
