Start by connecting the battery's negative cable before you disconnect the washer fluid reservoir, horns and EVAP canister from their positions. After that, take out the bolts that secure the ABS Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) on the support tray and put them aside, before you remove the HCU tray. Release the retainers holding the front lighting wire harness on the fender and disconnect the headlamp connector, next run the fog lamp, park lamp and side marker wire through the access fender well hole. Unbolt the fender to the cowl, HCU tray reinforcement bracket and grille and lift the fender away from the rest of the vehicle. During the installation, move all the essential parts and switch any damaged harness retainers. Set the fender flange on the car and secure the bolts connecting it to the grille, next put the front lighting wire harness into its retainers on the fender and lock it into place. Bolt on the fender to its bracket and the cowl and, when available, secure the body side molding to the HCU tray reinforcement bracket and cowl. Feed the screen of the fog lamp, park lamp and other wires forward via the hole in the fender well and seat the grommet before connecting the headlamp harness to the headlights. First, put the HCU tray in place, put the HCU on the support tray and install the bolts next. Afterward, install the EVAP canister, the horns and connect the horn wires, place the windshield washer reservoir in the correct spot and hook the vehicle's ground cable back to the battery's negative post.
