Begin by taking out the fuel rail when working on and repairing the 3.7L fuel injector. Now, take out the clip(s) that hold the fuel injector(s) in the rail.

How is a Fuel Injector Installed into the Fuel Rail Assembly on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

First, secure the injector(s) with retaining clip(s) (2) to hold the fuel injector(s) (3) in position in the fuel rail assembly (4) to install them. For reinstallation of same injector(s) be sure to use new o-ring(s). Follow this up with the application of small amount of clean engine oil on the injector o rings for ease of installation. Once the fuel rail is in place then start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
