How to Install Car Speakers in the Front, Instrument, and Rear Doors on Jeep Liberty?

Attach the wire harness connector, mount the speaker using five 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) mounting screws, place the front door trim panel and reconnect the negative battery terminal. Put the wire harness connector onto the instrument panel, fix the speaker with tightened screws (2 Nm or 20 in. lbs.), then set the instrument panel top cover, the A-pillar trim and reconnect the negative battery cable. After connecting the wire harness on the rear door, place the speaker with fitted screws tightened to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.), install the rear door trim panel and reconnect the negative battery cable.

How to Remove Car Speakers from the Front Door, Instrument Panel, and Rear Door on Jeep Liberty?

Initially, separate the negative terminal from the battery, then open the front door trim panel and unscrew the speaker holding screws. After you are finished testing the speaker, pull it out from the door and unplug the harness connector. Instead of removing the battery, withdraw and isolate the battery negative cable, take out the A-pillar trim and slide off the top cover of the instrument panel. After that, unfasten the screws on the speaker mounts, take out the speaker and unplug the harness connector. Before taking off the rear door, unclip and separate it from the battery negative cable, remove the door panel and take off the fasteners securing the speakers. At last, lift the speaker (1) away from the door and pull off and unplug connector (3) on the wire harness.
