  These three, the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and connecting line, must be serviced as one unit, as their linkage components are not separated or repairable. Put the car on the hoist, with neutral selected, then get rid of the slave cylinder from the clutch housing and unhook the clutch fluid line if that is possible. Drop the car and screw on the reservoir cap to make sure fluid does not leak out of the master cylinder. After that, loosen the clutch master cylinder attaching nuts, separate the clutch master cylinder actuator from the pivot pin on the pedal arm and take the wires off the clutch interlock safety switch. Take out the clutch hydraulic linkage from the engine compartment. When installing, tilt the master cylinder reservoir down so no spills occur, position the clutch linkage in the vehicle and work the connecting line down, near the slave cylinder, so it touches the clutch housing. Fit the clutch master cylinder to the dash panel, link the clutch master cylinder actuator onto the clutch pedal pivot pin and screw in the clutch master cylinder nuts firmly. Lift the car, feed the slave cylinder push rod through the opening in the clutch housing and lock it to the release lever. Mount the slave cylinder nuts and make sure they're tight to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Connect the clutch fluid line using clips in the body and between the transmission and body. Then connect the clutch interlock safety switch wires.
