  The entire assembly of clutch master, slave cylinder and the connecting line is serviced as one unit, because the linkage pieces are sealed and cannot be replaced separately. Park the vehicle on a hoist in neutral mode and then take out slave cylinder 1 from the housing. If body clips attach the line, remove it, lower the car, then tighten the reservoir cap on the Clutch Master Cylinder 1. Take out the nuts holding the clutch master cylinder onto the pedal arm, separate the clutch master cylinder actuator from its pivot pin on the pedal arm and unplug the wires from the clutch interlock safety switch. Take out the clutch hydraulic linkage from under the engine. Before installation, secure the master cylinder reservoir cap so there are no spills and then lower the connecting line and slave cylinder near the clutch housing past the engine, together with other clutch linkage pieces. Place clutch master cylinder 1 on the dash, attach the clutch master cylinder actuator 4 to pivot pin 3 on the clutch pedal and screw on the clutch master cylinder nuts, tightening them to 38 Nm (28 ft. lbs.). Lift the vehicle, pass the slave cylinder push rod into the hole of the clutch and make sure it connects securely with the release lever. Screw the slave cylinder nuts in place, tightening them to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.), clip the clutch fluid line inside both body and transmission and secure the wires to the switch 5.
