How to Maintain a Fuel Tank Skid Plate on Jeep Liberty?

If your vehicle comes with a trailer hitch, take it off and also remove any tow hooks you haven't previously taken down. After that, unbolt the main clamp to take out the fuel tank skid plate. For installation, mount the skid plate and keep it in place with a strong lifting device, before installing the tow hooks and hitch again if these are provided. After that, install the bolts and tighten them until they reach 88 N.m (65 ft.lbs.) of torque.
