Before anything else, lift the accelerator pedal within the car, remove the plastic retainer and then unwrap the throttle cable from the top of the arm. After that, cut the cable core wire at the pedal arm and remove the metal clip that uses to attach the cable to the dash panel. Go ahead and take the air box at the
Throttle Body off and detach the cable from its routing clip first. Retrieve the cable housing from the dash and run it into the engine section. Grasp the throttle in the wide open position and move the throttle cable pin off the throttle body bellcrank. Press the release tab with a pick or small screwdriver; make sure not to break the tab by only removing the plastic cable mount from the bracket. Finally, slide the cable ahead of its slot at the front of the vehicle. For installation, place the plastic mount of the accelerator cable into the throttle body bracket so its release tab lines up directly with the hole there. Slide the throttle cable pin into the bellcrank on the throttle body as you hold the throttle in the wide open position. Guide the cable housing into the small rubber cover and through the cut in the dash panel above it. Fasten the metal clip so the cable is connected to the dash panel and place the core wire of the throttle cable into the top of the pedal arm. Seat the plastic cable retainer into the opening of the pedal arm, snapping it in place, establish the air box to the throttle body and confirm the accelerator pedal is not bound by moving it before you start the engine.
