When servicing the headlamp bulb anywhere in North America, you should first separate and unhook the battery negative cable. Get to the headlamp bulb lock ring by reaching behind the headlamp from the side where the upper radiator crossmember meets the engine compartment. Pull on the lock ring on the rear of the headlamp unit and turn it counterclockwise for about 30 degrees to unlock it. Whenever possible, keep the bulb glass away from your fingers and oil, as it can cause the bulb to burn out faster. Pull each lock ring, socket and bulb straight up using the keyed opening in the housing and out of the opening next to the radiator crossmember. Remove the grille opening reinforcement wire harness connector from the headlamp bulb socket connector receptacle and afterward remove the bulb and socket unit from the lock ring.
