When servicing or repairing a
Camshaft with lifters and lash adjusters in the vehicle, start by taking off the cylinder head cover and the camshafts and
Rocker Arm. Keep removing each hydraulic lifter according to the steps you've followed. Should the lifters be reused, write a note on each piece for assembly into its original spot, since lifters are always serviced attached. When putting in the hydraulic lifter, fill it with at least some engine oil so that you can tell if it is in good condition by observing its minimum plunger movement. After that, put on the rocker arm and go on to fit similar components on each hydraulic lifter. Once you finish tuning the engine, set in the camshafts and then fix the cylinder head cover.
