Grasp the engine hood latch and pull, then detach the negative cable from the one end of the battery. After that, disconnect both front wiper arms from their pivots and remove the cowl plenum cover or grille panel. Remove the headlamp and dash wire harness connector (5) from the motor pigtail wire connector. Loosen and remove the two screws (2) from the front wiper module (3) at the pivot above the cowl plenum panel, then remove the two nuts (1) holding it to the weld studs (4) below the cowl plenum panel. Raise the front wiper module up from underneath the cowl to disconnect the two insulators from the weld studs.
