For safety while servicing seat belts or child restraint anchors, check seat belts, buckles, mounting hardware, retractors, tether straps and anchors for proper condition, tightness or damage, changing out any cut, frayed or torn belts, fixing any twists in the belts, adjusting loose brackets and replacing any broken buckles, retractors or anchor plates. Child restraint anchors or integral units that have been bent or damaged have to be changed and seat belt and child restraint components can't be repaired; always rely on new and unused replacements from the Mopar(R) Parts Catalog. All of the side seats, except the front passenger seat, have a switchable autolock function on the retractor. First, put the second row retractor unit onto the right quarter inner panel and secure it by adding and tightening a screw to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) onto the right quarter inner panel. After that, place the seat belt turning loop on the upper D-pillar so there is no twist in the webbing and tighten the installing screw to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Route the second row center seat belt latch plate and lower anchor through the upper D-pillar trim opening, put the trim piece back on the right D-pillar and secure the second row center seat belt lower anchor latch plate to the unique, keyed lower anchor buckle.
