Before you remove the pump, unplug and separate the car's negative
Battery Cable. Suck the fluid in the
Washer Reservoir (1) through the siphon hose and put it in a clean container. After that, remove the washer pump/motor unit (3) connector receptacle's top cover from the top of the washer pump/motor unit and unplug the engine compartment wire harness connector (2). After that, detach hoses 4 and 5 from the two outlet nipples on the washer pump/motor unit. Pull the washer pump/motor straight up and out of the washer, taking care that the inlet nipple slides freely out of the grommet seal/filter screen in the reservoir and that no damage results. After that, take out and discard the rubber grommet seal/filter screen that was blocking the pump hole in the washer reservoir.
