How to Install a Brake Caliper on Jeep Wrangler?

First, place the brake caliper (4) onto the adapter after you have straightened it. Make sure the slide pins inside the caliper are properly cleaned and received just a touch of lubricant. Then, tighten the caliper slide pin bolts (3) to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.). To even out air pressure, carefully lift one end of the slide pin boot, let go and check that the boot is covering the slide pin. Make sure the brake hose is straight and not twisted when you are about to tighten the banjo bolt. Secure the brake hose (1) to the caliper (4) using new rings (6) and fasten the banjo bolt (6) to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.). Fill and bleed the system and when that is done, put on the wheel and tire assemblies. After taking off the supports, bring down the vehicle and see if the brake fluid level is correct.

How to Safely Remove and Replace a Brake Caliper on Jeep Wrangler?

Before you can start discarding and replacing the brake caliper, secure the caliper adapter and tighten the bolts to 163 Nm (120 ft.lbs). After that, put in both the inboard and outboard pads. Following this, connect the caliper to the adapter. Then, secure the wheel and tire in their proper place on the studs.
