Before servicing or repairing the cruise control servo, take out the negative
Battery Cable from the battery. After that, take out the vacuum line from the servo, remove the electrical connector and disconnect the servo cable from the
Throttle Body. Pull the cable sleeve for the speed control cable and servo away from the mounting bracket to reveal and get to the cable retaining clip. Remember the servo's orientation with the bracket and remove it as you take it off. Get the servo in position on the bracket and carefully line the hole in the cable connector with the hole in the servo pin and then use the cable-to-servo retaining clip to secure everything. Insert the studs of your servo into the mounting holes on the bracket and connect them with the supplied nuts to a force of 8.5 Nm (75 in. lbs.). After that, plug in the servo vacuum line and electrical connector, then plug the servo cable into the throttle body. When you finish removing the batteries, attach the negative battery cable again to the battery. Then, accelerate the car before starting it to test smooth movement of the pedal.
