Before you can install the upper intake manifold, take off the cover from the lower intake manifold and wipe it clean. Check if the gasket is still in good condition; if it hasn't been damaged you can reuse it. Put a fresh gasket over each seal channel and press it into place, keeping this up for each position until you're done. Following that, fit the upper manifold into place on the lower manifold. Coat the upper intake manifold bolts evenly with Mopar(R) Lock & Seal Adhesive (Medium Strength Threadlocker) and install them, tightening them with 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) using the instructions given. Fit the screws for composite manifold attached components slowly by hand to prevent them from melting; if you accidentally strip them, use the spare oversize repair screw. Attach the
MAP Sensor and hand tighten the fasteners to 1.7 Nm (15 in. lbs.) of force and then attach the electrical connector. When installing the
EGR Tube, place the unique screws gradually using your hands to prevent them from being stripped. Attach the throttle (ETC) connector to the
Throttle Body, install the EVAP hose and then link the TPS and IAC motor wiring connectors. Affix the PCV hose, attach the air cleaner and air inlet hose assembly, join the electrical connector on the IAT sensor and then link the battery's negative cable to the PC.
