  • Q: How to Locate, Remove, and Install a Canister Purge Valve on 2000 Dodge Durango?
    A: The Duty Cycle EVAP Canister Purge Valve is near the power brake vacuum unit on the left-rear side of the engine compartment. Start by removing the wiring from the valve and from the vacuum harness before taking out the valve. After that, unscrew and remove the two support bracket mounting nuts from the vehicle and also take out the valve and its support bracket. Position the EVAP canister purge valve and its mounting bracket before you install the mounting nuts and tighten them to 8 Nm (75 in. lbs.) torque. Last, connect the harness to the underhood vacuum motor and the wiring connector to the power module.
