How to Maintain a Washer Pump on 2000 Dodge Durango?

Make sure to unclip the battery negative cable before doing any repairs on the windshield washer pump. After that, take out the headlamp and dash wire harness connector from the connector receptacle in the front or rear washer pump. With the washer off, pull the supply hose off the front or rear pump outlet and drain the fluid from the reservoir into a fresh container. With a trim stick or equivalent tool, carefully remove the barbed inlet nipple at the washer pump from the rubber grommet in the reservoir. Get rid of the rubber grommet seal inside the reservoir. For installation, undo the previous actions, putting a new rubber grommet seal in the washer's water reservoir.
