How to Remove a Washer Pump on Dodge Durango?

Remove the windshield washer pump/motor by first cutting power to the negative battery terminal. Get to the lower rear of the washer reservoir by sliding your hand between the front of the left front wheel house splash shield and the front bumper support. Unconnect the wire harness from the top of the washer pump/motor assembly. After that, remove the front washer hose from the pump outlet nipple and let the fluid drain into a fresh container. Take out the rear hose pipe from the drain pump nipple. Hold the pump/motor housing by the top and pull it backward to release the snap post from the place it's snapped on the motor. Then, take the lower part of the washer pump/motor housing in your hand and twist it at the edges, while gently pulling upwards to take the pump inlet nipple out of the rubber grommet seal/filter screen in the reservoir. Now, remove the rubber seal/filter screen from where the washer pump is mounted inside the reservoir and throw away.

Restore the wire harness link to the motor's top, top up the washer fluid tank just as it was emptied and then connect the negative side of the battery cable. If you have a Hybrid Electric Vehicle, only have a trained professional reconnect the high voltage service disconnect to the vehicle's high voltage battery pack.
