2000 Jeep Cherokee Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Disc on 2000 Jeep Cherokee?
A: Before fixing or changing the brake disc, first take the wheel and tire off and then remove the caliper. After that, separate the retainers holding the disc to the hub studs and pull the disc off the hub. Should the disc shield require service, start by taking out the machine's front hub and bearing assembly. If you're putting in a brand new disc, use carburetor cleaner to wipe off any protective coatings before installing. After that, put the disc onto the hub, the caliper afterward and lastly, get the wheel and tire assembly back onto the hub.
