2000 Jeep Wrangler Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install Wiper Arms on the Front and Rear on 2000 Jeep Wrangler?
A: To take out the front wiper arm, pull on the latch while lifting the arm, then let go of the arm and it will remain off the windshield. Take off the arm rhythmically by shaking the pivot up and down. During installation, be sure the wiper motor is in Park before you mount the arm and blade so that the wiper's tip is + 15 mm / -0 mm (0.59 in) above the lower windshield blackout area. Once you stay your arm a little distance away from the windshield, push the latch into the lock position and slowly relax the wiper arm until its blade touches the windshield. Turn the wiper switch to Off and double-check that the wiper arms are in the correct place, fixing them if they aren't. After raising the rear wiper arm, pull out the latch until it holds and then drop the arm so it isn't making contact with the rear glass. Rock the wiper arm forward and backward to remove it from the motor shaft. With the rear wiper arm set on Park and the motor in front, place the blade on the glass so it is parallel to or tips down just 80 mm below the very top edge of the glass panel. Ease the wiper arm away from the lift glass a bit, move the latch into the lock and slowly guide the arm so the wiper meets the lift glass. After completing the wipe, turn the wiper switch off and ensure the arm is placed correctly, adjusting it if something is wrong.
