How to Remove and Install an Ignition Coil on 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

You will find the ignition coil pack attached right to the valve cover. The first step is to disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove the electrical connector from the coil pack, next remove the mounting nuts holding the coil pack and finally take out the coil pack. Put the coil pack on the valve cover and tighten all the bolts to 11.8 Nm (105 ± 20 in. lbs.). Place the ignition cables onto the different towers on the new coil pack; they should align with the cylinders' identification numbers. The last step is to connect the negative battery cable again.
