  A: Remove the lid of the air cleaner and the makeup air hose and unplug the negative battery cable before trying to service the MAP sensor. After that, detach the connector from the MAP sensor and remove the screws holding it down to free the sensor. During installation, carefully put the new sensor in place on the intake manifold and make sure the O-ring is not harmed. After that, tighten the mounting screws to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs) torque if the manifold is plastic. Put the electrical connector back onto the sensor, attach the negative battery cable and install the air cleaner lid as well as the makeup air hose.
