2001 Chrysler Sebring Heater Core Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Heater Core on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Before you do any service or repair on the heater core, begin by removing the negative battery cable. Release the HVAC housing from your vehicle by applying the proper steps according to the Housing Assembly HVAC details. Seperate the connector linking the recirculation motor and the housing and pull out the wire harness connector from above the housing. Following that, open the seal at the evaporator coil and remove the screw on top of the housing. Disconnect the upper housing from the lower housing and get the heater core out of the bottom housing. First, place the heater core into the housing beneath the upper housing, then join them together at the lower housing; attach the upper housing and secure it with screws. After you replace the drain hose, set in the evaporator seal, join the HVAC wiring to the upper housing, attach the recirculation motor connector and set the HVAC housing back in place.
