How to Properly Remove and Install a Wheel Cover on 2001 Dodge Neon?

Bring the nuts attaching the wheel cover close together by turning 5 nuts at the wheel cover retaining nuts with a hand wrench instead of an impact wrench that can damage them. Pull the wheel cover outward from the inside by grasping it with one hand. When installing, match the valve notch in the wheel cover with the valve on the wheel and put the nuts of the wheel cover retaining device on the wheat nuts that are visible from outside. Work all six nuts from the wheel cover into their proper places on the wheel. Use a hand wrench when tightening to take care of the retaining nuts. Tighten all five retaining nuts in the proper sequence to avoid having the engine rattle and do this twice or more to be sure. If a retaining nut starts to become loose, tighten all the nuts using the correct sequence, just before it slips out of the thread.
