- Q: How to Maintain a Windshield Washer Nozzle on 2001 Dodge Neon?A: You should open the hood first, then unhook the washer hose from under the washer spray nozzle. Put the plastic body filler spreader or a similar tool behind the front of the washer nozzle, being careful not to scratch the hood seal. Shake the nozzle back and forth just a bit to get it free from the hood panel. Place the nozzle over the hole in the hood panel and tighten it so it won't move, making sure the hood seal is not damaged. Link the hose to the part of the nozzle that's on the hood's undercarriage. Check that the washer system works properly and that there are no leaks by switching it on from within the car and adjusting the aim of the nozzle.
