How to Service a Blower Motor Resistor on 2001 Dodge Ram 2500?

On cars with air bags, disconnect the negative battery terminal first and then wait for two minutes before touching the blower motor resistor. Disconnect the wire connector from the blower motor resistor which is found under the passenger side of the housing. Unscrew the blower motor resistor from the HVAC housing and pull out the resistor. Install the new blower motor resistor in the housing of your HVAC system by screwing it in place with mounting screws, tightening them to a force of 2.2 Nm or 20 in. lbs. Link the resistor and the blower motor wire harness again, then reattach the battery negative wire to the terminal.
