  A: In order to service the antenna cable, first separate the battery negative cable from the rest of the system. Take the glove box out and access the opening behind the instrument panel to separate and twist the two metal connector halves, not anywhere on the cable. Pry open the cowl side panel and then remove the antenna mast from the front right side of the antenna body base. Unsnap the trim cover from the antenna body base by sliding the trim stick or a suitable flat-blade tool gently beneath the cover. Loose the three screws that attach the antenna body base to the right outer cowl side panel. Reach into the car and push the coaxial cable grommet on the antenna body slack out of the hole in the right side cowl panel behind the dashboard. After that, pull the antenna base and attached coaxial cable slack out of the hole in the right outer cowl side panel. To fit the antenna, send the cable and base unit up and inside the outer side of the cowl, then pull the cable until it rests in the hole in the interior cowl panel by using the grommet. Secure the antenna body base on the right outer cowl side panel by installing three screws and tightening them to 3.3 Nm (30 in. lbs.). Then fasten the antenna mast to the below base. Stretch through the opening in the glove box to attach the antenna coaxial cable to the radio antenna port, reinstall the glove box and then connect the battery negative cable.
