2002 Dodge Durango Brake Booster Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Brake Booster on 2002 Dodge Durango?
A: Start by taking out the master cylinder and then break the vacuum line connections at the booster. Then, get rid of the clip holding the booster push rod to the brake pedal and unearth all the nuts from the booster standing studs. Following that, remove the booster, spacer and gaskets from the front cowl panel. Set the spacer and gaskets on the booster studs, press the studs into the holes in the cowl panel and secure the booster on the panel. Fasten the booster nut at 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.) to the booster back plate and link the booster rod to the brake pedal, joined by the clip. Should the booster check valve be out, attach it and then link the vacuum hose to the valve. When you have finished everything, put the master cylinder back on and fill and bleed the brake system.
