How to Maintain a Back Up Light Switch on 2002 Dodge Neon?

In order to service the back up lamp switch, raised the vehicle and removed the connector by unconnecting the switch connector. Unscrew the switch off the transaxle, use Teflon tape on the threads, and screw it back in and tighten to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Re-attach the switch, drop the vehicle and test the lamp operation.
