2002 Dodge Neon Dimmer Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Dimmer Switch on 2002 Dodge Neon?
A: Before you begin, disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable and then remove each upper and lower steering column shroud. After that, take out the connectors on the posi-lock harness at the rear spot on the multi-function switch and get rid of the screws. When changing the multi-function switch, attach the combination flasher and the windshield wiper/washer controls onto the new switch. In order to install, move the windshield wiper/washer and flasher levers to the new multi-function switch, put in the mounting screws and tighten them to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.) torque. Attach the positive lock harness connectors at the rear of the switch, clip the steering shrouds in place and lastly connect the negative cable to the battery.
