How to service a Canister Purge Valve on 2002 Dodge Neon?

For EVAP/Purge Valve service, you should begin by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Unplug the electrical connector and remove the vacuum tubes from the valve and carefully take out the valve from the bracket by the steering gear to make sure it is installed correctly. Position the valve on the bracket, making certain that the side of it marked TOP is facing upwards. After that, join the vacuum tube and the electrical connector to the valve before lowering the car.
