2003 Dodge Neon Dimmer Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Dimmer Switch on 2003 Dodge Neon?
A: Before working on the multi-function switch, first make sure the battery negative cable is not connected. Pull out the shrouds at the top and bottom of the steering column and disconnect the two Posi-lock harnesses behind the multi-function switch. Once you remove the screws holding the multi-function switch, move the combination flasher and the windshield wiper/washer switch to the new multi-function switch if upgrading. First, attach the windshield wiper and washer switch to the multi-function switch. Add the switch's mounting screws and tighten to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.) torque. Attach both posi-lock harness connectors at the top of the multi-function switch, install both upper and lower steering column shrouds and attach the negative battery cable last.
