How to Service an Exhaust Heat Shield on 2002 Jeep Wrangler?

To service the heat shield, lift up the vehicle, and remove the screws or nuts holding the heat shield on. For muffler shield, you need to remove the front support bracket first. Slide out the shields and replace them by positioning the shield and tightening the screws or nuts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.) and then lower the vehicle.
